Orthopedic -Trauma and Surgical Specialty Unit 

This fast paced unit with a very diverse patient population is the place to work! Ortho-Trauma & Surgical Specialty (OTSS) is a 20 bed unit which covers a wide range of services for Orthopedic & Trauma patients as well as those surgical patients admitted from other services. Our nurses are integral members of a collaborative Interdisciplinary team.

You will gain experience in caring for a wide variety of patents including those requiring:

·         Care of complicated traumatic injuries

·         Wound Care including care of Burns

·         Traction

·         Mobility

You will be an integral part of the team caring for the following types of patients:

·         Orthopedic surgery

·         Orthopedic Trauma

·         Trauma

·         Burn/Trauma surgery

·         General surgery

Other services as necessary including:

·         Vascular surgery

·         Plastic surgery

·         Urology

·         Urogynecology
